“I carried a cat photo around all day just so I could hang it at EyeEm’s SF Pop-Up Gallery!” -@devora_

These were the kinds of amazing conversations you might’ve overheard at the first ever EyeEm Pop-Up Gallery that happened last Wednesday, February 4th at EyeEm’s San Francisco Studio.

The concept: Bring a print to hang on the wall or print a photo on our printer. Hang it on the wall and watch as blank walls magically transform into a photo show, right before your eyes.

In short, a real-deal pop-up gallery!

The evening was an experiment of sorts and turned out more successful than any of us could have imagined. Many arrived with a print in hand, while others brought a digital version and printed on our in-house printer.

Photographers chatted, shared stories, gave tips and even made new friends as they hung photos and admired each other’s work. This made for a truly collaborative evening.

Plus, our friends at Mountary taught folks how to hang their own gallery at home and even offered framing services to one lucky winner who entered to win. Three others won sweet EyeEm swag bags.
