The24HourProject at مسجد السوق الكبير by Sami Alramyan on EyeEm

A media consultant by trade, Kuwait-based Sami Alramyan exchanges his brief case for a camera whenever he can. We were intrigued by this man’s B&W photographs so we had a closer look at his work and upcoming exhibition.

Born and living in Kuwait, 48 year old Sami works in the fields of media and TV production for over 20 years. Even though he’s constantly surrounded by visual media and started photographing when he was a kid, Sami seriously got started with street photography and documentary only about 4 years ago.

I guess that’s what life offers us every day. A unique and real scene through out each individual in the street or as they interact with each other. That’s how I see photography and that’s what makes me go out photographing every day.

The following photographs are part of The 24 Hour Project, where Sami recently documented the streets of Kuwait City within 24 hours, and his latest project that documents the life of Muslims inside Mosques in different countries.
