How would you describe your style of shooting?
I like street photography and I don’t have any particular style of shooting. Normally I will just take a snap when I came across someone or something interesting, it could be out in the street, in the mall or on the bus and as much as I can, I try not to make my presence felt, so as to capture that particular moment that drawn my eyes to.
What’s special about the place you’re coming from?
Most tourists who have been to Singapore, would describe it as a clean and green city, a shopping paradise with lots of delicious food. But what truly makes her special is the iconic presence of a multiracial society that consists of Chinese, Malays, Indians, Caucasians and Asians of different origins. And because of our rich culture, there is so much to learn and to explore even though I am born and raised here. Recently, I had the chance to experience first-hand Thaipusam (a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community) during which I got to document the devotees from the start of their preparation to the actual celebration that lasts throughout the night. My favorite filter right now is “Gundlach” combine with frame “Classy” and my second favorite filter to use will be “Silk”.
Your pro tip for shooting great photos with the new EyeEm camera:
Be calm and steady, if you think you are too far from your subject, zoom in with your legs. Go closer to take a better picture. : )
